Olivia grace

When asked to design a book, the contents were open, but there were some stipulations. We had to use a flysheet and a die cut in our design, and we had to bind it ourselves. I chose to make a baby book for my niece, Olivia. It is a very personal book that timelines her first months of life through text and pictures. It uses an 8’’ x 8’’ layout and it is bound using cardboard, specialty paper, and screw posts. The design has an intimate feeling through the photographs and the graphic baby images. The colors used are baby girl pink and white. The size of the book is important because it is small enough for little hands. The font is News Gothic in black, along with Tagettes as a decorative font.
